I have been attending the outdoor cardio classes that do not require touching equipment as well as some Zumba classes online. I really prefer F2F classes and feel like I work harder.

I haven't done pump since I only have 3 and 5 pound weights at home, but I have been enjoying doing Combat at home.

I find that with my dumbbells I keep the sides touching during dead lift rows and it acts like i'm lifting the bar. I find squatting heaving weights rough with dumbbells though because it's more pressure on your arms instead of your back. It's definitely not worth buying a $600 bar and weights. Also i purchased the les mills monthly membership and it's amazing!! Bodypump with dumbbells is better than no Bodypump at all! I’m an instructor, and I’ve been doing regular Zoom BP practice sessions with some of my instructor pals during this shelter in place period and let me tell you we have all gotten real creative with our weights.
I also don't have a barbell at home, but do have hand weights up to 10 pounds which work well for me. The idea is to work each area for 5 minutes straight, so lighter weight to exahustion. I have thought about subscribing to the online but I haven't yet. Hoping that other pumpers can share some PUMP classes that they've been enjoying since gym closures. Whenever possible, don’t skip pull-ups during a pump workout. The pull-up movement is essential for providing a pump for your lats. This will give you a wider back, making your pump more impressive overall. The resting metabolic rate of muscle is a lot lower than most people think – around 6 calories per pound. The only move I can think of that changes form slightly is the clean and press. The only change is when you catch the dumbbells at shoulder height, rotate your hand inward so the dumbbell is perpendicular to your body.
My girlfriend has a torn achilies tendem in her right leg. We used to do a lot of walking/joggig but now have not done any since June and both put back around 20lbs. I am thinking of ordeing Body Pump fo us to get back into working out. If she skips or modifies workouts that require leg movement, will Pump Body be ok fo her to do?

It may not do much for muscle growth in the long run, but you’ll get a quick muscle pump. No pump workout would be complete without bicep curls. The best thing is, you can do curls without weights. You’ll want to start with lighter weights because of the high repetition movements. Typically, a woman may use 5 – 10 lbs for her biceps, triceps, and shoulders, and lbs for her chest, back, and lower body. The push-up movement will mostly focus on the pectorals, pumping up your chest muscles, but you’ll also work your triceps, shoulders, and back as secondary muscles. If you’ve only got time for one pump workout, make it push-ups. I use dumbbells and the back track and squat tracks are the only ones that are noticeable affected. When doing dead lift rows, just remember to pinch your shoulders and you'll still feel it.
